Golocalise produces professional audio recordings at its two state-of-the-art voice over studios in central London
GoLocalise was founded in 2008, moving to our current location in 2012 and since then we’ve been happily based in our offices in Stockwell, London, complete with our two professionally equipped voice over studios.
Our Stockwell premises and on-site studios were custom-built so you can rest assured that your voice over recording project is in the best hands possible, whatever its purpose (read more details on how to choose the best recording studio for your voiceover project).
Our dedicated Project Managers and in-house Sound Engineers have decades of combined experience and deal with hundreds of projects per year covering everything from TV commercials to IVR recordings, audiobooks to video game audio, and everything else in-between.
Because of the huge variety of voice recordings we produce, our equipment has to be absolutely top-of-the-line. What else would you expect from an audiovisual translation company founded by a former full-time voice over artist?
Plus, who wants to go to the effort of casting a voice over artist, sourcing a recording studio, booking a sound engineer and arranging post-editing services all with different suppliers when you can save the hassle and have GoLocalise take care of everything all under one roof, and just a phone call or email away?
The first of our voice over studios is (for obvious reasons) called the Blue Studio. This is our day-to-day workhorse, taking care of everything from single line promos to video game commercials.
It accommodates up to two voice over artists at the same time and of course we’ve saved a few seats on the sound engineers’ side so you can join us in person to direct the session and make sure it meets your needs.
Our second studio is the equally creatively named Red Studio.
This is the powerhouse of the GoLocalise studios, seating up to four voice over artists at the same time.
It’s perfect for podcast recordings where multiple speakers need to be recorded simultaneously or any other projects for which the Blue Studio might be just that little bit too cosy.
Delivery Options
Files are sent to your ftp server, via a secured download link from our server, or WeTransfer in the format of your choice (wav, mp3, etc).
Our Project Managers are always ready to help with your next project, so whether you need help casting your project and booking a voice over artist, or you’ve got everything under control already and just need the studio space and sound engineer, we’re looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Both our Blue and Red Studios are fully equipped to either record wild (i.e. not timed to match any pre-existing visual
materials) or record to picture.
The ability to record to picture is incredibly important when localising audiovisual content because languages can vary quite significantly in terms of their spoken lengths.
If your newly recorded dialogue doesn’t match the length of your original material, you’re potentially looking at additional costs later down the line to re-edit your original visuals to match and if this wasn’t something that was already planned from the outset then that can be an issue.
Localising video content is supposed to add value, not become a money-pit. Thankfully GoLocalise is completely set up for this in our studios and our vast roster of voice over artists are all incredibly accustomed to timing to picture, meaning that’s just one more thing you don’t have to worry about when working with us.
GoLocalise offers a default deliverable of a single audio file per voice over recording, tidied up by our sound engineers to remove any outtakes and delivered within one business day of the voice over session, often less.
However, we know that voice over recording requirements aren’t one-size-fits-all so if your project needs a little extra editing, just let us know and we’ll be more than happy to oblige.
Need your session’s audio split into multiple shorter audio files and labelled according to your instructions? No problem.
Want us to mix the new audio with backing music or sound effects? Easy.
Would it help if we laid back the audio over your original visuals and deliver a video to you instead? Piece of cake.
Or is time of the essence and you simply want us to fire the completely raw, unedited audio over to you straight after the session ends? That’s fine too!
Whatever deliverable you need from us, we’d be glad to meet your requirements and can safely deliver your files to you by sending over a secure link directly to a folder on our own server, from which you can download your files.
We’ve been doing this a while now, so you can always trust GoLocalise to make sure that the voice over sessions go ahead without a hitch.
However, the input you can provide as the client is absolutely invaluable in terms of any questions that come up which could be considered subjective.
For example, if you have a preference on tone, speed, or any other aspect of the delivery style that could be considered a matter of opinion, we’ll need you to join in and direct the voice over talent to help them match the expectations you have for the final product.
Even if the artist is working in a language that you might not necessarily speak, your input is always appreciated. It helps us make sure that your recording is perfect first time, every time, and it ensures we can help you avoid unforeseen costs as we won’t need to re-quote you again for subsequent voice over sessions.
Don’t leave your important communication to chance. Make sure your message is clearly understood by

We’re equally used to working with production companies, so we can deliver your translations or subtitles in any language and format of your choice – either burning-in the subtitles onto the video for you, or supplying you with XML or PNG files for you to do yourself – Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro ready files.
