Send Your Project Viral with the Help of the UK’s Leading Armenian Subtitling Company.

Subtitles occur on the screen as text in reaction to the characters’ speech or dialogue. They are typically used to transform media into a language that the audience can comprehend. If subtitles are not accurate to the spoken word on screen, the viewers’ understanding of the content can be negatively impacted. Precisely created subtitles, on the other hand, enhance the value of your video content.

That’s why we have professional linguists in place to create subtitles for your film or other video content. Our team consists of both local and foreign resources to ensure that every uttered word in another language is correctly translated.

Armenian Language Facts

The Armenian language is an Indo-European language spoken by the Armenian people. It is the official language of the Republic of Armenia as well as in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The language is also widely spoken by Armenian communities in the Armenian diaspora. It has its own script, the Armenian alphabet, and is of interest to linguists for its distinctive phonological developments within Indo-European. Linguists classify Armenian as an independent branch of the Indo-European language family. Armenian shares a number of major innovations with Greek, and some linguists group these two languages together with Phrygian and the Indo-Iranian family into a higher-level subgroup of Indo-European which is defined by such shared innovations as the augment. Others have proposed a Balkan grouping including Greek, Armenian, Phrygian and Albanian. Armenian Dialects Armenian is a pluricentric language, having two modern standardized forms: Eastern Armenian and Western Armenian. The most distinctive feature of Western Armenian is that it has undergone several phonetic mergers; these may be due to proximity to Arabic- and Turkish-speaking communities. There is no precise linguistic border between one dialect and another because there is nearly always a dialect transition zone of some size between pairs of geographically identified dialects. Armenian can be divided into two major dialectal blocks and those blocks into individual dialects, though many of the Western Armenian dialects have become extinct. Armenian Alphabet It was introduced by Mesrob Mashdots around 405 AD, an Armenian linguist and ecclesiastical leader, and originally contained 36 letters. The Armenian script’s directionality is horizontal left-to-right, like the Latin and Greek alphabets. The Armenian alphabet was used in the literature of Kipchak-speaking Armenian Orthodox Christians between 1524 and 1669 Current Status Armenian is an official language in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, and a recognised minority language in Cyprus, Poland and Romania. Armenian is spoken in the following countries: Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Russia, Georgia, Lebanon, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Egypt and the USA.
